Terms of Service

The Game is operated under the name “Guerras Políticas” (the “Operator,” “we,” “us”). For legal inquiries, write to guerraspoliticas@gmail.com. The Game is in beta (see the section “Beta, availability, and nations”).

To play, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 17, you declare that your parents or guardians are aware of and authorize your participation. Purchases by users under 18 require authorization from their parents or guardians (details are in the Purchases and Refunds Policy). We may request age verification and suspend accounts that fail to meet this requirement.

To play, you need an account with a valid, verified email (authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs on your account.

One account per person: multi-accounting is prohibited. If you share internet or a device with another person who also plays (family, work, school), declare it under Settings → Shared connection: this is how the anti-fraud system avoids mistaking you for a multi-account. Accounts may not be sold, rented, or transferred.

We want fierce competition but fair play. The following are not allowed:

• using bots, scripts, or any automation external to the Game;
• exploiting bugs or glitches (if you find one, report it to support: taking advantage of it is subject to sanction);
• harassing, threatening, or discriminating against others in chats, messages, or profiles;
• using usernames, bios, mottos, avatars, or flags that are offensive or that impersonate others;
• spamming, phishing, or impersonating the Game’s staff.

Depending on severity and repeat offenses, we may apply mutes, per-nation suspensions, or account suspension. If you believe a sanction is unfair, you may appeal it through the Game’s support or by email.

The Game is a work of satirical fiction set in American politics. Any resemblance to real people, parties, or events is for humorous and parodic purposes. The Game neither expresses nor promotes any real political stance.

What you post (username, bio, motto, avatar, coalition flag, messages) is yours. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display it within the Game while your account exists, which is the minimum necessary for the Game to function.

Avatars and flags go through moderation before becoming visible to others. We may remove content that violates these Terms. If you see something inappropriate, use the report button.

Pauta is the Game’s virtual currency. It is not money: it has no value outside the Game, it is not transferable between accounts, and it is not redeemable for money or other goods. Gift Pauta (welcome or pre-registration bonuses, free trials) has no monetary value.

The terms for purchase, crediting, withdrawal, refunds, and chargebacks are in the Purchases and Refunds Policy. We only adjust Pauta balances with cause: a refund, a chargeback, or a fraud sanction.

With Pauta you can redeem, within the Game, the Premium Account in accruable days (packs of 3, 7, 14, 30, 90 days), individual features (The Bagman, the Chief of Staff), boosts, speed-ups, and other catalog items. Nothing renews or is charged automatically: there are no automatic subscriptions. Activations are final and run from the moment you make them.

Like any living strategy game, we may adjust balance (values, durations, mechanics) for design reasons. Such adjustments do not give rise to any right to compensation, except as provided in the Purchases and Refunds Policy.

The Game is in beta: there may be maintenance, bugs, major changes, and resets or closures of Nations. We make reasonable efforts to give advance notice. We do not guarantee continuous availability or the absence of errors. The effects of a reset or closure on purchased Pauta are in the Purchases and Refunds Policy.

The Game — its code, art, text, music, and trademarks — belongs to us or is used under license. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to play. You may not copy, modify, or commercially exploit it without our written permission.

You may close your account at any time by writing to guerraspoliticas@gmail.com or through the Game’s support. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, fraud, or legal requirement. In the event of a serious breach, there is no right to a refund of Pauta already spent, without prejudice to the non-waivable rights granted to you by consumer protection law.

The Game is provided “as is,” to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect damages arising from interruptions, loss of game progress, or the actions of other players. Nothing in this section limits the rights granted to you by consumer protection law (Argentine Law 24,240) or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

We may modify these Terms. If the change is material, we will notify you by email or within the Game with reasonable advance notice and update the “Last updated” date. If you keep playing after the changes take effect, the new Terms are deemed accepted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina. As a consumer, you always retain your rights before the Consumer Protection authorities; for personal data matters, before the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP). In consumer relationships, the courts of the consumer’s domicile have jurisdiction. Contact: guerraspoliticas@gmail.com.
